Today at COMPEL Training, a brand new course is kicking off called “Ways to Get Your Message Into the World.” This course is going to be a must have for any serious writer!
One of the biggest challenges writers (and speakers) often face today is learning how to build a platform and grow their online spaces so they can get their God-inspired messages into the hands of as many people as possible. Unfortunately, that feat is much easier said than done and can often seem intimidating, and at times, even frustrating. How does a writer know which platform to focus on and which one is the best for her? Should she start a blog, a podcast, or a Youtube channel? Should she focus mainly on social media, and if so, which one is best? Insta stories or Facebook stories? Graphics or videos?
This course answers all of those questions and pulls back the mysterious curtain of how to get our writing out to the world in the best way possible.
To kick off this 7-week course, Lysa TerKeurst ,New York Times best-selling author and founder of Proverbs 31 Ministries, recorded a fresh, brand-new and exclusive teaching that is only available to COMPEL members. Lysa’s lesson focuses on the impact social media can have on a writing ministry and shares important lessons she has learned over the years about ways to impact the most people online with our messages.
Over the next six weeks, we have more awesome teachings from many popular names in the Christian writing world, including Kathi Lipp, Courtney Joseph, Lisa Whittle, Robin Bertram and more, with each one sharing their expertise and tips about a specific outlet they have mastered. You’ll learn how to market your message without selling your soul, how to start and manage a podcast, how to create a Youtube channel, blogging on a blog and microblogging on social media, as well as insider tips for how to tap into the elusive industry of the Christian media.
Our prayer is that this course will make the daunting challenge of sharing our messages feel a little less like jumping into the unknown and a little more like making wise, educated choices due to being equipped with the information needed to move forward in confidence.
